Woke up at sunrise with a shithead RV-park guard dog running its mouth. Foul creature, but there were at least three stray cats hanging out to balance it out. Two for two on RV park owners being really into the bus. Crucial endorsement. Emptied the black water tank for the first time — without gloves, and without spilling week-old shit and piss everywhere. Success all around.
Covered 350+ miles of Nebraska today. A very self-contained leg of the trip — didn’t spend a dime on anything besides diesel and nicotine.1 Enjoyed the tunes off these latest Smiling C compilations as my driving soundtrack of the day.

The only picture I took today, hastily snapped as I was leaving a gas station in Sutherland, NE.
A MAN A MISS
A CURVE A KISS
HE KISSED THE MISS
AND MISSED THE CURVE
Sutherland
Is this a town motto? A cautionary tale? Local history? Kind of baffled by it. Couldn’t be me though. I drove through there in a bus. It was easy. There weren’t even any curves, really. Wide roadways, plenty of visibility…no problem. RIP, dummy.
Bedding down for the night in the back parking lot of the Museum for American Speed in Lincoln tonight. Missouri tomorrow, but only after I eat my first-ever Runza.
